My newest Bear!

As a mom of three boys, I'm going to I do spend a lot of time with Cub Scouts! One of the joys of it is when one of the boys advances in their rank. Noah earned his Wolf in January. I just found these photos on the camera and thought I would share!
I am proud of Noah! I'm so blessed to have my three sons!
Noah pins his Wolf Pin on Mom...don't ask me whats up with my hair...it has a mind of its own at times!

In Cubscout tradition, the Cub must give mom a kiss. It looks more like he is trying to tell me a secret though!

And then a hug for mom with her newest bear cub!
And tonight is Pack Meeting. I believe it will by my 43rd give or take a few!

Nine is Fine

Noah is 9

My Middle Child turns 9 tomorrow. I was so thrilled to have my Noah. I have the tradition of telling my children their birth story for their birthdays! It is so fun to share with them how they entered the world and joined our family! Noah came after my labor was induced. It actually was a pretty easy labor, and he arrived at 5:28 in the afternoon, with the Chief, my mom, and my oldest sister, Suzanne there. It was a rainy, sleety day, but it was a happy day in a long January month!

Let me tell you about Noah.
He's athletic. He sets goals and goes for them. He likes to win, and he has been lucky enough to be on winning football and basketball teams! He enjoys cub scouts. He is not afraid to try things like snowboarding, but he really doesn't like heights (gets it from the Chief!) and climbing up a 4 step ladder is daunting. He can be really silly and a goofball one minute, and then Mr. Shy the next. He despises public speaking. He cheers for the BYU Cougars, Utah Jazz, and the Minnesota Vikings. He used to be Mr. Neat, and now he is Mr. Messy. He doesn't like to sleep alone, and begs his older brother to let him bunk with him. He prefers to be outside doing anything over being trapped inside the house. He rarely watches television, unless it is a sporting event. He is a great little brother, and a sweet older brother. He still lets mom snuggle with him. He loves to do "different" things with his hair, and he is really opinionated about how it should be cut. Noah gets called "Noey" by his family more than Noah, and he also likes to be called "Sport". He is really good at memorizing things, and he is a good speller. He does well in school, but would prefer not to have homework. He is creative and smart. He is really strategic at Dominoes, and has a really great laugh.

Noah, you bring so much JOY to our family. We love you!

Happy Birthday, Noah

No Juice

I just haven't felt the Juice recently. So, I've neglected my blog. Hmmm...

Noah, 8, at the Regatta

Tonight was the Cub Scout Regatta. Noah was excited to race his boat. He did well! It was fun to watch all the boys.

We are dealing with a broken washer again. Second time in just a few months. Yes, we have the extended warranty from Lowe's, but it takes them FOREVER to fix it. The guy came out and has to order parts so he scheduled to come back on Nov. 5th! So, that means a total of 15 days I'll be without a washer! That is just not reasonable for a mom of five. Any mother knows that more than 3 days without a washer is major pain in the bum. Thankfully, I have two friends who are out of town and have offered to let me wash there. So, tomorrow, I'll be going to do my laundry at my friends' places.

I'll have lots of photos from my trip to Denver...I'll post them soon...give you the baby update...so stay tuned...

Don't blink

I blinked. And when I opened my eyes again, a week had passed. How does that happen? It amazes me when I look at my 10 year old, who is growing, growing, growing, and I see the 5 lb 13 oz. baby he once was just a few blinks ago. This last week is a blur. A good blur, but still a blur. Between work, homework with the boys, Enrichment meeting, bookclub, bowling, fhe, homework with the boys, preparing my lesson for church today, making dinner, grocery shopping, picking up the house, and spending time with my family the week flew by. We're getting closer and closer to my big 4-0 Birthday. But first my middle man celebrates his 8th birthday next week. We've been talking about that as it is a big one. He has chosen to get baptized, and so we are making preparations for that. He is a good boy. He makes us all laugh.

On another note, The Minnesota Vikings played really well today and beat the Cowboys. The Chief is ecstatic about that. We all had our jerseys on. Okay, I don't have a jersey, but the Chief respectfully asked if I would wear one of his to support his Vikes. Of course, I said yes. Afterall, they've become my team too.

So, back to the blinking part. I recommend against it. Keep your eyes open so you can see all of your life and not let one second of it get by you. Life is good...you don't want to miss any of it.
