Seven Likes

At work, I often advise my clients to think of positive things, rather than allow the negative thoughts to crowd one's mind. I decided to follow my own advice tonight. So, I came up with a list of seven things that I really like:

1. I like bike riding, especially with my kids. (btw, those aren't my kiddos above, but you get the idea!). I can't wait til spring is here, so we can go out riding more regularly!

2. I really like my new kitchen sink. It is an Elkay sink, in the Harmony collection. I love that the middle thingee is really short, so I can put my griddle across the whole thing. Also, it is really deep, so when I put dishes in there, you can't even see them so I don't have to worry if an unexpected neighbor drops by!

3. I like seeing the clouds up by the mountains after a rain storm. Today it rained off and on, and looking up at the mountains, and seeing the clouds just hanging there, suspended in front of the mountains was so amazing! It was reminder of the beautiful world we live in!

4. I like custard! The kind you get in New York at Abbott's Custard. One of my favorite places to go when I was a kid. I'm working on clean eating so custard is out of the question right now. Good thing I live in Utah, where they don't sell custard, at least not that I know of, and if you have other info...please do not share it with me!

5. I like climbing into my bed each night. I love my 1000 thread count sheets, and I especially love climbing into my bed, after the sheets have been freshly washed and if they were lined dried, it is even better!

6. I like being active, and having fun! Spending time outdoors with family and friends is such a great way to spend a day!

7. And I like all things romantic. Whether is a heart in the sand, or a mushy card, or a quiet dinner over candle light, or a folded basket of laundry (put away would be over the top), I just like romance!

So, if you find your mind crowded with negatives, stop and name 7 likes. It really does shove out the negatives! Happy Day!
