Hard to believe that this decade is coming to a close! I brought this decade (and Millenium) in as a new mother at my parents' home in New York. It was a fun NYE despite all the fear of Y2K! Does anyone think about how "crazy" America was about Y2K? I thought my mom was definitely one of the crazy ones. She was prepared times 15! I didn't worry too much. Now, as we are about to enter 2010, I wonder if this next decade will slide past even faster than this past one has!
My boys have been sleeping in late during this Holiday vacation. I think they are going to have a difficult time getting back on our routine. The chief had to go to work this morning. He got up and left at 6. I know because he woke me with a sweet kiss. I managed to go back to sleep for another hour, so hopefully I'll be able to make it to "the clock strikes 12" tonight! I'm running errands with all 3 boys this morning...not my first choice, but oh well, that is the life of a mom!
We're getting together with the Prices tonight. We are planning a fondue party for the 10 of us. (They have 3 boys that are similar aged to our 3 guys). Then we'll play games and set off a few fireworks at midnight. Should be an enjoyable evening.
And tomorrow...we have nothing planned, except a date for the Chief and I tomorrow evening! Doesn't that sound like a wonderful way to start the new year? We went to the Temple yesterday and dinner and bowling tomorrow night!
I told you, we have a very blessed life...
